Bonaire’s sea abounds with beautiful marine life and a fascinating variety of multi-colored tropical fish, there is lots to see while diving on Bonaire. The sea is remarkably calm and conditions are superb for both scuba diving and snorkeling.  On average, the visibility exceeds 100 feet and average water temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The fringing reef begins close to the shore, usually a short 30 feet swim or less, making Bonaire world-renowned for its ease of shore diving.

We are staying at Buddy Dive in three bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area with cable TV, patio or balcony, air-conditioned bedrooms with each its own bathroom with shower. Located at the waterfront north of town, the resort has a full service dive center, two swimming pools, two restaurants, vehicle rental and the famous drive-thru fill station. A short stairway provides easy access to the tranquil ocean below – excellent for snorkeling and swimming.    

Bonaire’s waters offer something special for every diver. Novice divers will appreciate the calm waters, reefs that run parallel to shore, and minimal currents while diving on Bonaire. These conditions make it an ideal location to really work on improving diving skills! The shallow drop-off area of the reef slope with an abundance of marine life, allows a maximum bottom time while giving new divers an opportunity to develop a level of comfort and confidence in their newly learned skills.  Complete your certification on the trip for only $150 (reg $295) extra.  For the more advanced divers, Bonaire’s reefs offers a plethora of challenges- deep dives, drift dives, night dives, wreck dives, and more! Add on any specialty course at special trip price.
